The Interdisciplinary Program for <\/strong>Autonomous Systems and Robotics<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

\nThis Interdisciplinary Program includes the following units: Aerospace Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Data and Decision Sciences, Medicine, and Science and Technology Education.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Technion Autonomous Systems (TASP) <\/strong>program, which awards Master\u2019s and Doctoral degrees, encompasses research areas across a variety of topics such as machine learning, deep learning, and big data analysis for the needs of autonomous systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

Autonomous systems integrate a wide range of sensors, computers, and communication devices, and are at the forefront of technological innovation, impacting all fields of engineering.<\/span><\/p>\n

Examples of autonomous systems include unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), land and maritime autonomous vehicles, medical assistive devices and systems, and independent agent systems in various fields.<\/span><\/p>\n

Typical applications of autonomous systems include, among others: managing environmental pollution and disaster response, detection and neutralization of biological and chemical hazards, autonomous vehicles, traffic control, autonomous robots, smart agriculture, and more. These and many other applications are expected to drive progress across all areas of life, including security, industry, transportation, the domestic sphere, and the social environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

The program\u2019s goal is to consolidate a broad range of capabilities in teaching, research, and development of autonomous systems.<\/span><\/p>\n
