Students in the above tracks who do not hold an Engineering degree and are required to complete relevant supplementary studies will be awarded the degree: <strong data-start=\"873\" data-end=\"896\">&#8220;Master of Science&#8221;<\/strong> only (see below). In some tracks, supplementary studies are required based on the student&#8217;s academic background.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1012\" data-end=\"1370\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">There is also a non-thesis track available in several areas. Students with a Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Engineering who complete a non-thesis track will be awarded the degree: <strong data-start=\"1182\" data-end=\"1239\">&#8220;Master of Engineering in \u2026 (name of specialization)&#8221;<\/strong>. In addition, students may pursue a non-thesis Master\u2019s degree as part of the Technion\u2019s interdisciplinary <strong data-start=\"1347\" data-end=\"1361\">ME General<\/strong> program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1372\" data-end=\"1863\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In special cases, when a student is pursuing a Master&#8217;s degree in a field that is significantly different from their undergraduate studies and is not required to complete the full prerequisites for a Bachelor\u2019s degree in the field of the intended Master\u2019s (aside from essential courses for continuing their studies), the Graduate Studies Committee may decide at the beginning of their studies that the student will be awarded the solely on the accumulation of academic credits and does not include the submission of a thesis. The program is designed to enable graduates of a Bachelor&#8217;s degree in engineering disciplines to specialize in the fields of Mapping and Geo-Information Engineering across a range of subjects, with an emphasis on practical engineering applications. It also aims to encourage graduates of Mapping and Geo-Information Engineering \/ Geodetic Engineering to return to academic studies after several years in industry, in order to specialize in new areas and topics that have emerged since they completed their degrees. Students in this track may choose to specialize in one of the following three areas: <strong data-start=\"743\" data-end=\"819\">Geodesy, Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing; Digital Cartography and
