It includes but is not limited to the engineering of marine vehicles (surface or submarine), structures, systems and instruments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">TOP aims to advance the knowledge of engineering sciences (such as: civil, mechanical, electrical, computer, architecture and planning, engineering \u2013 marine-biology interfaces)) as these relate to the ocean environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><br \/>\nThe following list presents suitable aspects of research for TOP students, however many other ideas may be acceptable:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">New concepts (e.g. of vessels, structures) for the utilization of the ocean<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Marine spatial planning<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Integrated coastal zone management<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Design aspects of marine vehicles, structures, installations and instruments<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sensing and data processing methods applicable for ocean engineering and exploration<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hydrodynamics of the marine environments and flow-body interaction<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Applied mechanics (solids, structures, dynamics) for marine products<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Materials and processes applicable for ocean engineering<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Numerical methods and models for ocean engineering<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Analytical methods and applied mathematics for ocean engineering<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Aquaculture system (for growing fish or algae) at open sea<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #002147;\"><br \/>\nDegrees awarded:<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Master of Science in Marine Engineering \u2013 MSc.
