Graduation Process for Non-Thesis Track<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n


\nThe process of completing a degree in the non-thesis track is performed in two stages:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n


\nOffice of graduate studies in the department<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Upon completion of all the credit points and completion of the academic requirements, the student is required to contact the departmental graduate secretary \u00a0in order to begin the process of completing the degree.<\/span><\/p>\n

The student shell:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Check and confirm their personal details in the portal<\/a> >> Campus >> “Graduation”.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. If you took courses in excess of the requirements and you would like to classify them as extra courses, please contact the Current Studies Office in the<\/span> Jacobs Graduate School via<\/span>\u00a0Email<\/a>, along with the<\/span> “Exclusion of Courses<\/a><\/span>“<\/span> form<\/span>
    \nExtra courses cannot be addressed after the process of completing the degree has begun.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. For departments that use an \u201centry\/exit form\u201d, please refer to the office of the department and complete it.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. For departments that submit completion\/seminar\/project essays, cover pages (Hebrew and English) should be uploaded to the portal<\/a> >> Campus >> “Graduation”. If the work was performed with additional students, the distribution of the work should be uploaded with the Hebrew cover page (as a one file).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The Graduate Studies office of the department will upload the additional documents.<\/span><\/p>\n

    \nGraduation Procedures Office of the Jacobs Graduate School<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

    The documents will be handled by the Graduation Procedures Office of the Graduate School. After checking them, the Graduation Procedures Office will contact the department of student accounts in order to close the tuition account.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The date of eligibility for the degree will be determined as the date on which the last document and confirmation are received. For students who have a tuition balance, the eligibility date will be date of completing the financial obligations.<\/span><\/p>\n

    After completing the academic requirements and the financial obligations, the student\u2019s file is ready for the examination of the Degree Committee. The Degree Committee of the Technion convenes eight times annually. The Degrees Committee examines the basis of the students\u2019 files and checks whether the students have complied with all the academic requirements and fulfilled all their requirements at the Technion.<\/span><\/p>\n

    After the approval of the Degrees Committee, a list of degree recipients is transferred for the approval of the Technion\u2019s Senate members. Five days from the date the notice was sent to the Senate, if there is no opposition, the approval for eligibility that includes a certificate for the completion of studies and an approved transcript is sent out.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The certificates will be sent to the student\u2019s private email.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The diplomas are granted in a ceremony<\/a> once per year.<\/p>\n
