{"id":6235,"date":"2025-02-10T10:51:16","date_gmt":"2025-02-10T10:51:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grad-new.web3dev.technion.ac.il\/?page_id=6235"},"modified":"2025-12-25T10:01:10","modified_gmt":"2025-12-25T10:01:10","slug":"tuition-scholarships","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/graduate.technion.ac.il\/en\/tuition-scholarships\/","title":{"rendered":"Tuition Scholarships"},"content":{"rendered":"<header class=\"entry-header\">\n<h1 class=\"entry-title\" dir=\"ltr\"><strong><span style=\"color: #002147;\">Tuition scholarships<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">There are number of types of tuition scholarships (tuition exemption), as set forth below:<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><strong><span style=\"color: #002147;\"><br \/>\nScholarship recipients<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Scholarship recipients will be given a tuition scholarship (exemption from tuition).\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/graduate.technion.ac.il\/en\/general-information\/\">T<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/graduate.technion.ac.il\/en\/general-information\/\">he rate of the tuition scholarship will be relative to the number of scholarship portions awarded<\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #002147;\">Soldiers in mandatory service \/ serving in national service<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">(The exemption is intended only for students on the Technion campus in Haifa)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Graduate School grants a tuition exemption to soldiers in mandatory service \/ serving in national service, who meet the\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/graduate.technion.ac.il\/en\/scholarship-award-guidelines\/\">academic requirements for the receipt of a scholarship<\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\">. The exemption is provided only during the period of the mandatory service \/ national service and it can be received between the months of October \u2013 July. During the months August-September, there is no tuition charge.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">The exemption is per academic year and can be renewed by resubmitting the application at the beginning of each academic year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">An application for a tuition exemption to soldiers in mandatory service \/ serving in national service can be submitted online using students\u2019 portal &gt;&gt; Campus &gt;&gt; \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/portalex.technion.ac.il\/irj\/portal\/external\/CampusExt\">My Requests<\/a>\u201d under Type of request: \u201c<strong>GR Scholarships: Tuition exempt for soldiers<\/strong>\u201c.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The application must be attached a confirmation documents from the suitable entity: for soldiers in mandatory service \u2013 Attach a \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.idf.il\/en\/\">certification (ishur) of mandatory military service\u201d (sherut Hova) from Army Human Resources Office<\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\">. The confirmation should include the duration of the mandatory service; for those serving in national service \u2013 attach a \u201cstudy approval\u201d form from the \u201cAguda for volunteers\u201d \/ Form #3<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Students serving their mandatory service (sherut hova), and are entitled for a tuition scholarship, will pay the advance. They will be reimbursed at the beginning of the semester once their tuition scholarship is approved. The reimbursement will be prorated according to the approved number of scholarships months minus additional fees.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #002147;\">A student accepted to \u201cparallel studies\u201d at Technion<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Students who are accepted for master\u2019s degree studies in a research track and who receive approval to study in parallel (during one or two semesters) in undergraduate studies at Technion in order to complete the bachelor\u2019s degree are entitled to receive a tuition scholarship for the period of study in parallel.
