Guidelines for Students in the Non-Thesis Track<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

1. Degree requirement course credits (advanced courses) include an element of self-work, such as Seminar\\Project course, Advanced Seminar Laboratory or Seminar Lecture, according to the requirements of the non-thesis program at your unit. This element of self-work will be summarized in a written report.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. The submission of the report of the Seminar\\Project course is personal and cannot be submitted in a group.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. The report will be submitted in a scientific format, including chapters of the work objectives, literature review, expected significance, summary and conclusions. The faculty member in charge of the course will submit the report as well as the grade is given to the Graduate Studies Secretariat at the academic unit, in two copies.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Graduation process:<\/span><\/p>\n

After completing all the requirements, the Graduate Committee Coordinator will transmit to the Jacobs Graduate School secretariat: <\/span><\/p>\n

Notice of completion of academic requirements <\/span><\/p>\n

One copy of the written work or summary of the seminar lecture, with grade<\/span><\/p>\n

The student will transmit to the Jacobs Graduate School<\/span> (through the graduate degrees secretary in the unit): <\/span><\/p>\n

Confirmation that there is no charge for books to the library <\/span><\/p>\n

Personal details for the purpose of preparing the certificate and invitation to the degree awarding ceremony<\/span><\/p>\n

The school will check that there are no debts for tuition fees. In the event that a debt remains, it will be settled through the student accounts unit, and a confirmation of this will be sent to the Graduating Procedure office.<\/span><\/p>\n

If the documents (listed in sections 1, 2, 3 above) arrived at the Jacobs Graduate School <\/span> by November 30 (for the winter semester) or April 30 (for the spring semester), it will be considered that all the requirements were met in the previous semester (if the student was indeed enrolled in studies in the previous semester, and not on vacation).<\/span><\/p>\n

Upon fulfillment of all the above requirements, the file will be submitted for approval by the degrees committee, as usual.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
