Registration for PhD & MSc programs takes place throughout the year, with the exception of the special PhD track, for which registration deadlines are in accordance with those specified for master’s degree programs.
Registration for the following master’s programs is for the Fall Semester only:
Management and Behavioral Science
MBA
Urban and Regional Planning
Economics
Application Requirements & Registration Process
- A candidate may apply to one faculty only.
- This site is for International Applicants. Israeli students must use the Hebrew website to apply to the Graduate School
- Prior to submitting an application, contact the International Student Advisor at the Graduate School by email at IntGrad@technion.ac.il .
- Find an Advisor in the relevant faculty
- Submit the registration fee of $140 (non-refundable)
- Submit the application including recommendations
The registration and admissions office will review all documents and transfer the relevant material for review to the faculty. An email notice of candidacy will be sent to the applicant. Candidates who do not meet the minimum criteria of the Graduate School will receive a rejection letter.
- Application review and processing
- Application review in the Graduate Studies Committee of the faculty.
The review includes an examination of the academic and faculty requirements, consent of the advisor within the same faculty , personal interviews and more.
- The decision of the Graduate Studies Committee may be acceptance of the student for studies, while determining candidacy (a regular student or a supplementing student), the educational requirements, or rejection of the application.
- The Committee’s decision is transferred to the Registration and Admissions Office.
- Also including the educational requirements, is in accordance with the decision of the Department Committee and the requirements of the Graduate School. (what is the meaning of this sentece?) Admission or rejection is confirmed by the academic secretary of the Graduate School.
An acceptance letter that includes a computer code and additional documents is sent to the applicant. A rejection letter is sent to candidates who the Graduate Committee of the academic department has decided not to accept.
Process following Acceptance to the Graduate School
- Scholarships
Scholarships are granted based on the recommendation of the Graduate Studies Committee by the Scholarships Office, near the beginning of the semester.
- Dormitories
Eligibility for dorms is determined on the basis of academic achievements and in accordance with the availability of the dorms. Notice of acceptance to the dorms will be sent near the beginning of the semester by the Scholarships Office.
Questions may be sent to the secretary of the faculty where the candidate has been accepted.
Completion of Acceptance Process
In order to complete the process of your acceptance to the Gradate School, you must perform the following actions as soon as possible by using your Student ID number or Israeli ID number – the ID number is listed on the acceptance letter.

Instructions regarding tuition
Training Insurance – to be submitted at the department.
Scholarship applications, registration for courses as well as viewing grades is only possible upon completion of the acceptance process.
