The faculty of Data and Decision Sciences offers a variety of advanced degrees (MSc) in different fields, as follows:
Data Science – Data science is a multidisciplinary field with theoretical bases from computer science, optimization, artificial intelligence, game theory, etc. This area breaks new pathways in dealing with large scale data as is now available in medicine, financial markets, the Internet, natural language processing, computational vision, and artificial text and video production. The field has originated in part due to the continuous increase in the amount of manufactured data and the wide variety of data driven applications. The graduate degree in data science puts its emphasis on the combination between providing a broad theoretical basis and experience in research methods in the scientific and technological aspects of managing, collecting, analyzing and presenting big data.
Information Management Engineering – The management of processes of collecting and gathering information takes a growing part in today’s industry, with everchanging challenges. The program provides research proficiencies in information technologies. Active research area include system design and verification, system engineering, databases, distributed algorithms, and communication systems.
Industrial Engineering and Management – A business process is an engineering challenge that can be complex and interesting. The program deals with research in areas such as system optimization, remote sensing, quality management, supply chains, and work simulators and robots.
Behavioral sciences – This program provides an in depth proficiency in applied research in behavioral sciences. Program tracks include cognitive psychology, organizational psychology, and cognitive psychology and human factors engineering. Courses in all tracks focus on people’s decision processes, emotions, and behaviors in organizational, social, and technological contexts.
*candidates who graduated psychology programs must also register at the Israeli psychology masters match system website, http://www.psychologymatch.org, used by all Israeli universities who teach graduate programs in psychology.
