    The Interdisciplinary Program in Applied Mathematics


    The Interdisciplinary Program in Applied Mathematics at the Technion is a groundbreaking and unique program in Israel and worldwide. It offers outstanding students with backgrounds in scientific and engineering disciplines the opportunity to engage in advanced research under the mentorship of leading researchers from various Technion faculties.     Students in the program gain exposure to a wide range of research areas, including optimization, optics, elasticity, numerical analysis, control, computer graphics, probability and statistics, operations research, hydrodynamics, medical and physiological modeling, mechanics, computational mathematics, machine learning, neural systems, differential equations, signal and image processing, computer vision, cryptology, robotics, and game theory. These fields reflect the interdisciplinary and innovative nature of the program’s research.
