The Norman Seiden Multidisciplinary Graduate Program for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology

The multidisciplinary program operates under the framework of an interdepartmental committee, with participation from the following units: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology and Food Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Medicine, Materials Science and Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Science and Technology Education.

The Technion considers the development of research and education in Nanotechnology and Nanoscience a top priority and invests substantial resources in advancing this field.

Significant interdisciplinary collaborations are taking place among researchers from diverse fields, focusing on the scientific investigation of the organization and functionality of natural and synthetic systems at nanometric levels, and on translating these principles into cutting-edge technologies.

To support these goals, the Russell Berrie Nanotechnology Institute (RBNI) was established, serving as a central hub for graduate-level education and research in Nanotechnology, designed to integrate expertise across the natural sciences, exact sciences, and engineering.

The Multidisciplinary Program in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology offers the following study tracks:

    • Master of Science in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (MSc)

    • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

Admission requirements and study tracks for master and doctorate degrees can be found here.

Potential supervisors can be found here.
